SCA DC Meetings Online during COVID 19

SCA DC Intergroup in partnership with the area meetings have created an online space for every meeting to occur. The complete list of meetings can be found here. The meetings can be accessed using Zoom via phone, iPhone/Android App, or computer. Handy tips for meeting participation are at the end of the page. Join us!

Sunday Night in DC **Closed

7:15 PM   Sunday Solutions @ The Triangle Club, 1638 R Street NW
"The Sunday meeting uses lead shares and/or topics of recovery for discussion by meeting attendees. Everyone attending the meeting has the opportunity to share, you are allowed to pass when it is your turn. Sunday's meeting does use and provide SCA approved literature."

Monday Night in DC **Closed

7:15 PM   The Triangle Club, 1638 R Street NW, Room 120
"The Monday meeting starts with a speaker who shares on a topic of his/her choice or on one of the 12 steps or tools that we use to support recovery (based on those of Alcoholics Anonymous and related recovery programs). After this main share, meeting attendees share on the topic of the evening or on any other topic that relates to their recovery. While attendees typically socialize briefly after the meeting, there is no structured pre- or post-meeting activity."

Tuesday Night in Virginia - Open to all

7:30 PM   First Presbyterian Church - Rear Entrance/Room 201

The meeting begins with a reading related to recovery or the 12 Steps and then opened for sharing on topics and concerns of the individual. It is a warm, safe, and supportive environment."

Wednesday Night in Virginia - Open to all

"The Wednesday Night meeting follows a scheduled format each week of the month. During the 1st week we read from "Answers in the Heart"; 2nd week a member shares their story; 3rd week we select two topics from a series of flash cards, and the 4th week a member shares about the step for that month. After this sharing period, members can share on the night's topic or their recovery from compulsion in general. To socialize members meet at 6 PM and walk to a nearby location for dinner before the meeting."

Intergroup Meetings

Intergroup meetings are held via Zoom on the second Monday of the month beginning at 8:30pm. The Intergroup uses the same login info as the Monday Night Group meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend but only elected meeting representatives (one from each group) may vote. Visit the Intergroup page to learn more.

Donations to DC SCA Intergroup and Meetings

Donations to intergroup or any of the DC-area SCA Groups can be sent to the address below. Groups are encouraged to donate their surplus funds (beyond rent, prudent reserve, and other expenses) to intergroup. Please indicate the name of the group making the donation or the specific group for which the donation is being made. **Closed -   These meetings are closed but that does not mean the meetings are full; we define "closed" according to the Third Tradition of SCA, which states that "the only requirement for SCA membership is a desire to stop having compulsive sex."
